8U / 9U Win back-back championships

The 8U/9U AEBA played some great baseball over Weekend #12, going 4-0 while outscoring their opponents 63-14. Collectively our 9 different pitchers threw 19 innings on the weekend totaling 315 pitches.

Of the 84 batters our pitchers faced; the boys would strike out 29 batters while walking 11. 8U Jacob F. led the pitching staff over the weekend allowing just 1 hit in 5 innings pitched, striking out 7 and walking just 1 of the 18 total batters faced.

On the base paths, 7U Brantson B. would swipe 10 of the team’s 37 total stolen bases on the weekend while also scoring 9 of the team’s 63 total runs.

Defensively, the boys played well when they needed to the most including turning a double play. Catcher 8U Ransom was a BACKSTOP. Ransom would allow zero pass balls and throw out multiple would be base stealers.

Congratulations to our 10 boys in the 8U/9U program on their BACK-TO-BACK Championships! Next Tournament: May 6-7 in Peoria at Rio Vista. Games are for 8am and 12pm.
